Mission Statement

To Inspire Hearts and Minds for Jesus Christ...

God has given the Church a "Great Commission" to proclaim the "Good News" to all nations so there might be a multitude from every nation, tribe, and language group who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.  As 21st century ambassadors of Christ, the Church should strive to use all available means (including the Internet) to reach and disciple the nations (Mark 15:16; Matt. 28:19, 20; Acts 1:8).

Because we, the Church, is called to relate to the world in which we live, we must understand the culture and society of our times and do all we can to influence that culture for Christ.  Today, a new and far reaching media has come into existence which must be deliberately utilized by the Church if she is going to be "salt and light" to the online world.  It has been said, "the global web of interconnected computers known as the Internet is the "Roman Road" of our day, connecting the body of Christ with the rest of the world in ways never before possible."   Believing this to be true, it would be to our shame if the Church did not embrace this media and positively influence it for Jesus Christ!

In accordance with this Great Commission, the joyful undertaking of Spread-the-Word Ministries is to "Inspire Hearts and Minds for Jesus Christ" and to take an active part in extending the Good News of salvation to a world separated from God through willful disobedience and unbelief.  Because God's Holy Spirit remains active in bringing people to himself, this undertaking is entered upon in the firm expectation that many men and women around the world will commit their lives to Jesus Christ and experience the joy of  knowing God and His many blessings.

The Great Commission...
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
(Matt. 28:19-20)

The Great Commandment...
"...Of all the commandments, which is the most important?  `The most important one,` answered Jesus, `is this: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: `Love your neighbor as yourself.'
There is no commandment greater than these."
(Mark 12:28-31)

Matthew 22:15-21
"
Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. "Teacher," they said, "we know you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are.  Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?"  But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, "You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me?  Show me the coin used for paying the tax." They brought him a denarius, and he asked them, "Whose portrait is this? And whose inscription?"  "Caesar's," they replied.  Then he said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."
